And if were Max Buchholz before he made to grow the mustaches? He won its Ritterkreuz on 12 august 1941...

I think it is Max Buchholz. Please look at his plane here (http://books.google.de/books?id=XrFm...twaffe&f=false) and compare it with the one on the right on the picture.

It is interesting, JG.1 didn't get their fw's until 1942. So assuming they did receive them early for famil or w/e. Although the unit dates do not match he does share an similarity with Buchholz by looks and.....

However, JG.3 also used the 'Tatzelwurm'.

But i reckon Buchholz would be an safe bet tbh, receiving his RK in 41 and having served with JG.1 and JG.3 around that time (Tatzelwurms galore).

Hi there!

There's also the possibility that the writing on the back of the picture does not right...
Maybe writed by the vet some years after the war, so the memory would not be exact.

... and the guy with the black pet would be Buchholz ...
