If you do find the eagle, good luck getting it on without breaking the pins off. You'll have to bend them twice, and since they probably have been bent before, there is a good chance you'll break at least one of the three, if not two or more.
Risky for such a rare and pricey item.

It can be done and I managed to restore two to Luftwaffe tropenhelms without breaking the pins, but I did stress a bit whilst doing it.

Also I bought mine years back and only paid £20 for the one and £25 for the other. I doubt I'll see them for those prices again any time soon.
