Several but haven't researched them thoroughly yet Mike.

Hmmmmm...has your years and years of experience and study ever failed you before? Why, yes it has, and pretty recently too. LINK: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=464294

I can produce 40 photos of tunics with very similar markings. You nor anyone else can produce 1 photo of a known or recognized fake with markings that are as close as the one comparison photo I show of an original tunic.

I am surprised that a number of the more learned members have jumped on your bandwagon, but I've gotten used to it. Why should I bother showing any more photos when one can just declare 2 tunics 100% fake from just 2 digital photos of stamped markings. The "WE" people have already made clear how they feel before ever having seen the wraps.

Plenty of people can read, and many can also read between the lines.

Ok so now any more thoughts anyone on what the original wrap was made for? Could the makers have merely run out of the correct coloured cloth and used anything to hand?

Ah, “ostrich collecting”, I know it well. No problem if a fellow doesn’t want to know, unless he takes offence with those who advise him of what is accurate.

Really, is that the worst error you can find? I can think of very few people (maybe none) indeed who have not made mistakes and actually know it all.

So, now 'bandwagon' = people that have independently come to the same conclusion. Of course you could put this all to bed by posting additional photos but then I suspect should the results be negative, that the collective judgment would be attributed to some sort of conspiracy against you personally that could only be understood by people that can read between the lines.

Richard, you can count me among the "we people" but not because of anything Patrick has said or because he is my friend, but ONLY because he is indeed correct. Have studied markings and construction for forty years and those stamps clearly belong to fakes.

And when you have gained similar experience, you will find yourself in agreement with Patrick too.

BTW, I never collected police, but a friend (and member) here does, so that way I get some knowledge, but never studied it.

And now, I am off this silly thread, it leeds nowhere.
