Cutting it in half is a bit of an odd thing to do , but dealers/collectors have been known to swap liners add insignia etc ,so its all a bit of caveat emptor . Rob

It is truly shocking that you don't realize that you have done wrong. If you need someone to explain it to you, then there is really no sense in taking the time to explain it. What a shame.

The dealer states that he believes it to be the real deal (real what? - still to be determined) yet that didn't stop him from cutting it in two. WTF!!! It's equally hard to believe that he really thought it was original when he sold the pieces.

I am moderately knowledgable regarding Luftwaffe airplane parts, having been a collector for nearly 20 years. From the photos I saw, I could not convince myself 100% that it was real or was fake. Others equally or more knowledgable concluded that it's bogus. OK.

What is known, and what bothers me, is that: it was cut in two, the description was not truthful, and the dealer still can't realize why he's taking flak. None of that squares with it being a real piece, or with honest practice.

Wishfull thinking perhaps, but how about telling us truthfully about where you obtained the part! Given it's a fake, someone pre-dealer was up to no good as soon as this item became "real".

brent you say several people saw it and "loved it" who were these people?were they experts?so now this tail has gone from being a fw190/ju88 to maybe another aircraft captured used by the german! that doesnt wash im afraid!if you didnt know what your selling why sell it! and as for cutting it in two and lying about that to well that makes you a true true dealer!!!

A dagger collector friend of mine told me he bought a SS dagger from Brent off of e-stand. He was confirmed that it was his. Alas just prior
to my friend sending the funds he was told that Brent had suffered a break-in and the dagger was stolen! Just that dagger.

He's now in that rarified field as a True Mega Dealer! You made IT! Say hello to Nazi Bob and Crazy Charlie !

BTW, Since when are these Mega-Dealers allowed to sell their.. er... "Product" on e-stand?

What also amazes me is when one of these dealers are "called out" they attack the forums as if we were knowledge-less in the field. We are who buy from you! Educated consumers.

So to avoid selling him the dagger, he made up that BS excuse. Why did he not want to go through with the deal? Things like this should be brought to the attention of the Mods.
