Luftwaffe Flak Artllerieschulen Shoulder boards

I just picked up these Captain's shoulder boards for the Flak Artillerieschule (anti-aircraft artillery School). They came with some Legion Condor cufftitles. What is the significance of the lightish blue piping on the red, please.?

I believe they are from a Luftwaffe Supplementary Officer. Not reserve

Dr. Walter Matthay has probably been stationed as a Supplementary Officer in flakartillerieschule rerik in Wustrow before he joining Regiment 9 (Legion Condor)

Thanks very much. That is really helpful. It looks as if he might not have been in Spain and that this was assumed by his descendants. His grandson, who sold the bits, said he was 6 when he died. I'll check to see if he has the DKG somewhere.

What a group and linage. Are there any other sorts of documentation you can get from the family? Something to bring it all together? Or is it all gone?

I do have 4 Legion Condor Officer cufftitles, a few shoulders and collars. Not much family history, because grandson was 5 when he died. There are a couple of nice portrait photos in uniform.
