These are very nice, again i have to say. Did you guys know all the bridges (and roads) etc in europe are pre-ready from the cold war for "clipping on" pre-made containers like this..go on you tube and watch "the demolition guard", this was our training video...
Notice the "beehive" standoff legs are movable, thats important....normally you have to calculate that if you improvise these...
For example in the third world, often you have to make these in various sizes yourself although small ones to get rid of bombs or UXOs etc, these ones you're showing are for cratering or other uses etc...if i can find cluster bombs with no fuses like MK118s i use them as a charge for certain items...
When you see such a short time fuse, you can tell thats for breaching or assault demos! You can be sure these guys did the job but their brains probably suffered...even being 300m away from a single anti tank mine in the open sends a shock wave! When i see saving private Ryan it just makes me think...id love to talk to one of those engineers about that, using the Bangalore so close! The German versions are interesting to see!

Yes, thank you Klarkon, you are a valuable source of information. I used to refer to Lex Pev's site for explosive related items, but it's no longer necessary, especially now that his site isn't accessible. BTW, first time I've seen that version of the 3kg charge. I'm assuming that it's a late war development, considering that the example you've shown is painted in ordnance tan?????
