Excellent pictures. Thank you for sharing them.

Would it be possible to see more pictures of the Haft-Hohlladung. Was it in a collection before you got it or just lying somewhere, forgotten about?

      What are the yellow cylinders?

      Regards
      PC

Awesome finds, especially the yellow cylinders in original box are amazing.
They are german WW2 "Meldebüchse See", a floating combination of smokegrenade and messagecontainer.

        Stunning find

Paul, I think the yellow canisters are oxygen canisters for interior of tank. That looks to be a 75mm main gun round for panzer.

                      Wow, great find!

I would love to see some close ups of the eggs, and the anti-tank shaped charge.

Here is my "Meldebüchse See" for comparison. Not a juicy as the 2 units above but still nice to have in my collection....

Where they used by the Kriegsmarine and what was there purpose please? For example was it some kind of rescue marker?

                          Thank you

@PC: they were used to drop written messages from aircraft to ships.
The smokecharge made it easier for the ships crew to find them.

I don't know if this was a Kriegsmarine or Luftwaffe object, maybe Glenn or Nicolas are able to provide more details: markings, etc.

                              Hi,
                              It was used by Luftwaffe:

                              http://lexpev.nl/grenades/europe/ger...uechsesee.html

But of course, there was some plane in the KM (seaplane for instance), so.. LW or KM pilot ?

                              Regards
