Would you suggest removing the post war paint with a diluted varsol, or just leaving it. The idea of post war paint takes away for me the feel of it being a genuine M24.
I can see a hint of the original paint on the end connector, a darker green, but very little remains.

That is a very personal decision, personally I prefer a no painted grenade than a repainted one, but it is up to you.

I can't disagree with you there...particularly as I would want the same.
