As always you show the coolest goodies.
My question is this: Is the round crimped in the shoulder area? The picture seems to show a single verticle crimp. If so, the shoulder is crimped all the way around? I know nothing of this sort of ordance so forgive my ingorance if this is common knowledge.

Bill, it's not Solomons but Salamaua in New Guinea! Probably a 32nd Division man's bringback.
I was excited because I had a single 13mm AP round......but what's neat is that it came from the same place in New Guinea!
Chet, I noticed that on Bill's shell as well. Mine has a single crimp in the neck, it's almost like a friction fit. I wonder if the mark we see on Bill's is a defect from the lighting?

It seems to be the lighting in the picture.. These Japanese Navy 13mm rounds do not have a crimp at the neck..Hope this helps some..BILLComment
