    Hi again Welsh,

To answer your questions (at least in part...)

    1) Top picture attached is a group picture of some of my Heer/KM eagles. Its missing a few new additions & my Luftwaffe & Veteran metal breast eagles. I know there are many other variants often from the same makers or using the same dies but in different metals with different hardware

    2) Pictures of the Schwerin bird as requested. One of my favorites too (I have 4: 2 marked, 2 unmarked) but not the best or rarest IMO. Like I said for your Maedicke, not a common bird but I've seen quite a few gold ones for sale in the last few years as if someone had a box full and was trying to release them without shooting himself in the foot by flooding the market. I've only ever seen 1 silver Schwerin for sale that I missed so I suspect its a lot rarer than its gold bethren. Its also in solid alu like yours with very similar hardware but the finish is very different

    Hope this helps

In its first Ratisbones auction this year, it was one by Schwerin, it was my ;-)

But maybe somone can help me in this eagle i got a few days ago.
In german forum there was not mutch information.
It is from size like a normal summer breast eagle, but it have on the revers 3 pins like a Visorcapeagle from army.
At the revers was atached two parts of cloth.

Did somone Knows his exactly use?

The one you show comes from the same dies used by a maker who also produced tombac & cupal summer uniform eagles (pict 1 attached)

Not sure what these cloth mounted eagles were for but I am aware of 3 different variations, all in gold coloured aluminum, with prongs and mounted on navy backing cloth to be sewn on uniforms like regular cloth eagles. You dont see them very often and always the same 3 styles show up so I suspect it could have been a test/tentative to replace traditional bullion eagles but that is just my opinion.

I dont have the other variation but picture 2 belows shows the cloth mounted type made by Assmann
