Hello, nice used french made tunic. Agree with Dimitri about the insignias, IMO all of them post-war replaced. Collar patches are not the typical that you can find in a french made jacket.

It seems like it's almost impossible to find any coastal artillery tunics with original insignia that are not post-war replaced.

Hi all, just a update, I have now managed to remove small pice's of thread form each site in question without doing any damage or loosing of the stitching.

            1. no nylon was found as the pice's of thread burnt and stayed in one pice, compared to a nylon thread were it melts to small ball.

            2. Black light test did not show any glowing threads.

Also I have contact Peter from the Guild who I purchase it form back in 2011, and yes that far back, but I am so pleased with Peter's first reply, he didn't tell me to jump on my bike, and take a ride! But inform me to send it back to them, for them to do their own checking hands on, and if so this tunic was a post War put together job he would refund my money, also he is trying to see if the original consignor can be contacted. So I can say that the Guild stand behind their product that they sell, even if it was sold 3 years ago! I was very pleased with Peter's assistance in this matter.

              Hi All,

I must retract my last post, as after a replay from Eduardo (km-spain) that I ask him why he believed it was post War restitched, well he has educated me, and explained ket points that are their if you open your'e eye's, and infact it did, and I was able to see the problems that he had pointed out to me! My strengths are with helmets but I do have a spread of knowledge from years of collecting, but you still need someone that is really focus in certain areas off collecting to guide you through the points that screams "MESS WITH". Anyway thanks to Eduardo, and of course Dimitri D fellow members that really know there stuff!
