I do not know if white and pvc... This sextant still not mine .. another thing ... what is the reason for the piece you mention is aluminum ... ?

It looks OK to me also. It is a first pattern sextant and it does look like the knob is made of aluminum.

Hello, looks as a correct model but I don't like the high serial number 27XXX, I had a sextant with number 24XXX together with a Carl Plath letter telling that it was made in august 1944, so IMO this one could be a post-war rebuilt sextant. I don't like the box. Sorry not for me.Collector of Kriegsmarine and Küstenartillerie items
