    another named seesack with EKM

    hello

some weeks ago I presented a first seesack
    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=631021

here is another one, quite similar with the name and wodden plate representing the dogtag of the soldier

another soldier of the Nordsee and part of the technical troops enlisted in 1936 : N 272 / 36 T

on the other side, the soldier painted his EKM numbers

I think that Fkmt could be for his technical formation: Funk matrose ?

    regards

    Hi daco ,

A real nice Seesack of course.
I also got me one of these with the same wooden plaque and
    the details of the sailor.
My guess is that the abbreviation "Fkmt" could also stand for
    "Funkmaat".
    That is only a guess.

    Regards

    Bernhard

          Daco,

Not a possibility.....but his rank in pencil clearly shows the abbreviation "Fkmt" = Funkmaat, so Bernhard is right about that.
Looks as if it is not the first time that there was a (lower) rank written on that wooden tag, with each promotion it was easy to rub out the old rank and to write the new one down in pencil.

As your man Nebendahl entered service in 1936 - he did have some years to get his promotions.

Great Seesack with an original (as by regulations) wooden tag.

          Thanks for showing.

          Best regards

            regards
            daco
