I think pionier has made his case and I also think we must all accept that various levels of English fluency is something to be considered in posts by non-native speakers.
The sextant is a fake as indicated. The linked thread will show what the two accepted versions look like.
So we have our answer, lets just accept that pionier was disappointed in his sextant, he did not word his answer in perfect English, but in the end, the sextant was posted by an alert member (glaser) for discussion.
Many items are put on estand and not all of them are vetted, I wish they could be but they cannot. We cannot read the minds or intentions of every seller but hopefully alert members will spot dubious artifacts and get them posted to the correct forums for discussion. Like what happened here.
Pionier, if you want to learn about sextants, just study the linked thread. I think it will give you about as much information as we have right now, that information coming from various sources including the forum GMIC and some reference books.
