Kriegsmarine sextant on E-stand genuine?

this box and sextant are being offered as genuine, a have a very different opinion but I will leave it up to the kriegsmarine expert and look forward to their comments!

I agree with others, not an original piece. This waffenamt is not the typical for this piece. And the esgle on box is incorrect too.

Personally, I dont care if good or bad, it was a gift.

Maybe as the seller "you don't care if good or bad, as it was a gift"......but as the buyer : 1000 Euros for a boxed sextant that isn't a genuine KM example is a lot of money and a total different story.

Yes and if you had looked better you see that I emediatly put the action to an hold...If I knew before that it was fake I didnt even put it on the estand. First look than comment please...

.......so to say......your "I don't care if good or bad" was posted after three posts made by members with knowledge I value much, who wrote their concernes about your item.

So it seems that with your "I don't care if good or bad" you didn't care about their opinion.

"First look than comment please..." or in your case......first read the opinion replies posted by other member who do have the knowledge, before you post your reply "I don't care if good or bad".

I dont care if good or bad, it was a gift etc was a reply on there answers indeed... Not on there opinions that its fake or real tough but a question to give more information why it is fake/real. The thing I dont care is that I didnt pay almost a half month wage...(and I did care if I did), not on there opinions. So I am happy to receive those opinions.
So, what I ment to say was to be more clear for you and/or others: I dont care if the item is fake or not... I received it as a gift. If fake, a pitty. If real, nice catch... But if fake: At least give me the uppertonity to learn something on it and post a reply with more information. Not only for me, but also for future reference.
These things are totaly not what I collect. The thing looked okay to me, but it wasnt. So offcourse withdrawl from auction (and I am going to give it back. With this new iformation it doenst fit in my collection).

And yes, I am dutch just like you. I can speak and type english but it isnt my first or second language. So it happens sometimes for me that I cant make myself totally clear tough I tought I did.
