    Thanks Ludwig.
Collecting career insignia has become very popular.
There's a lot of the common patches for sale out there but the
more uncommon types are now hard to find. You have to snap them up quickly
otherwise they will disappear just as quickly.

I now have 209 in my collection and I still have a long way to go.

    Cheers,
    Larry

So I am just wondering what the final consensus is regarding this insignia. Do we believe that it is an Oberstückmeistermannsmaat or a Oberwaffenwortsmaat?

I added maat after all of the descriptions because I can't imagine that only one career insignia for enlisted personnel would not contain the rating maat. Perhaps I am wrong with this. But I would like to know what the forums opinion on the job/name for this particular rating. Do you believe this was later replaced by the coastal artillery shell that lines up vertically along the anchor body? Eager to know.

      Thanks,
      JustinG

I misspelled. OberWaffenwartmaat is what I meant.

        Thanks,

          Turm Geschützführer

          Hello everybody

Here is a couple of photos of my newest patches. A blue and a white version of the Turm Geschützführer ( Turret Gun commander ) worn between 1933-40.

The blue patch is made by the firm Thiele und Steinert ( See white stamps on the backside )

I was lucky to find these two patches , which wore missing in my collection. A blue and a white version of the Artilleriewaffenleitvormann patch.

Thanks for your reply. I haven't got any 1933-40 patches to spare at the moment. They are hard to come by and I only have one of each in my collection.
