The number 5 on the board has IMO nothing to do with the Wästi stamp. I have many boards with Numbers on their tongue. Some boards have only integers, others have 1/2 or 3/4 stamps.
If I'll come back at home at easter, I'll take some photo's of the Wästi stamps, I think the scanns are not clear enough.
All the best and happy researching,
Andreas

So now we have Wästi followed by L, M, VH, RL, OHH and RLH -- by the way, Andreas could you post that white embroidered breast eagle you said had the Wästi RL mark since we haven't seen that one yet, and is it a similar marking to Eduardo's RLH?
I favour the theory that the initials indicate the maker of the "Wästi" - the Wäschestickerei. The 'H' after the V, OH, and RL could stand for Hersteller. Maybe the various numbers also stamped could be "lot numbers" and sometimes a fraction may indicate something like "lot 3 of 4" or "lot 1 of 2"?
Regards,
---Norm
