Hello, here you have an other one with "Wästi O.H.H." stamp and number 5. Andreas, maybe this one is that same as in your shoulder board, is not ckera if last letter is M or H.

        Hi Eduardo,

I think you're right -- they are the same. Your clearer example shows the detail. You can also see what looks like a '5' stamped separately below.

        Best regards,
        ---Norm

Yes Norm, and both have Wästi writting not in capital letters as all others, an other variation, for what

            ..please tell it to me

The number 5 on the board has IMO nothing to do with the Wästi stamp. I have many boards with Numbers on their tongue. Some boards have only integers, others have 1/2 or 3/4 stamps.

If I'll come back at home at easter, I'll take some photo's of the Wästi stamps, I think the scanns are not clear enough.

All the best and happy researching,
            Andreas

So now we have Wästi followed by L, M, VH, RL, OHH and RLH -- by the way, Andreas could you post that white embroidered breast eagle you said had the Wästi RL mark since we haven't seen that one yet, and is it a similar marking to Eduardo's RLH?

I favour the theory that the initials indicate the maker of the "Wästi" - the Wäschestickerei. The 'H' after the V, OH, and RL could stand for Hersteller. Maybe the various numbers also stamped could be "lot numbers" and sometimes a fraction may indicate something like "lot 3 of 4" or "lot 1 of 2"?

                Regards,
                ---Norm

Although it is rather faint, here is the WÄSTI marking from an embroidered Reichspost armband:

                    Best regards,

Kriegsmarine WÄSTI stamp on cloth insignia

Has this mystery been solved in the meantime?
