i own only about 13 km cap tallies...most important in my collection are the "three sisters"(SCHEER,DEUTSCHLAND,GRAF SPEE)
a couple of years ago i won my graf spee one for 250 euros+shipping in ebay germany but im happy to have it because is a great piece of museum

        Hi fernando,

At current count the I have 53 KM tallies.. I also paid a bit for my Graff Spee Tally but they are rare and becoming rarer and indeed a museum piece.

Here is a picture of my Panzerschiffe fleet -

          To JustinC

          Nice framing job!
Did you end up securing the backing in the reverse using blocking foam or how?

          Great job. Regards,

            Hi Justin,

Not sure its currently in transit from Germany but appears to have been professionally framed.

Here is a picture showing the obverse of the picture.

Oh, ok; I had pushed the "first unread" when accessing the thread and forgot you purchased another example with frame. Very Nice.
Tauscher badge is interesting and interesting as the only 2 rating badge displayed. I wonder if this was a personal display or in memory to a certain sailor or if this was just placed for the "coolness" effect? Either way, a very nice display.

Maybe since you have 2 Graf Spee's, you can change out your manequin's hat which had the Scheer and put on thd Graf Spee.

              Congratulations.

I really have to dedicate myself to getting my tallies displayed and presented.

              Best regards,
              JustinG

I already did with the cap!

Regarding the picture, It was put together by an ex Graf Spee crew member possibly in the 1950's. That's all I know and it is written - Zur Erinnerung am meine deinstzeit auf Panzerschiff Graf Spee 1938-1939. The rest of the text is unreadable...

I'm afraid that I'll have to disappoint you Fernando, no uboot flotille tallies here for two reasons. One, they're usually expensive and I can get 3-4 other tallies for the same money and second, I served in the surface fleet and we hated the submariners as much as they hated us and guess that has stuck to this day

Anyway, nice stuff you guys has assembled lately. Let's see some more, thanks!!

Got this one not long ago. Yes, we're in unknown territory but it wasn't that expensive and a KM collection without one, fake or not, naah...

                    Hi Justin,

With your display there you've almost reproduced my father! (Alex K. colourized my Dad's 1937 Graf Spee photo for me.) He had the Sport's badge and lanyard like your mannequin and later he went on to get the Minesweeper, KVK1 and EK2 and BWB, so very close!

                    Best regards,
                    ---Norm

i agree with you frank...u boat tallies are very expensive usually and with that money you can be purchasing a small collection from other km cap tallies as schools,etc....
i own only one u boat cap tally, from 2th UNTERSEEBOOTSFLOTILLE SALTZWEDEL and that day i spent about 265 euros in purchasing....

on the other hand, how many km cap tallies made in yellow thread you own in your collection....(i mean no gold wire tallies) ?

those are so easy to find or same than gold wire tallies?

yours....MARINESCHULE WESSERMUNDE will be the first....
