Very nice helmet! The “unsexy” unit does not detract IMO. The vast majority of guys were not a combat MOS. In the US most of the guys we have to thank for bringing this stuff back were in the rear with the gear.

The most remarkable thing to me about this group is the refrigerated truck with a 50 cal. machine gun mounted. It reminds me of an old cover from the National Lampoon (The Battling Buses of WWII):
