I got a Phone call this week from the vet's nephew who told me that his aunt (the widow) has found some pictures of her husband and she wanted me to get them as a gift. So i received this nice little photo grouping from Dr. Preusser that shows him in front of the Lazarett Zittau in wartime and in front of his private practice in DDR (Rote Armee Straße-Red Army Street). Its a perfect comparison of two very different times here in germany. He led his practice until the fall of the Berlin Wall in the 90s. He was nearly 60 years in practice as a doctor. It also shows him with his wife and his daughter. It seems that he was a member of the 56. Infanteriedivision (crossed sabre at the vehicle) but any more help about him is highly appreciated. You can see his helmet in some of the pictures. So glad they came to me at the end and that i have pictures of this brave and resilient doctor. I wish he had been my teacher!
