I would like to thank the numerous members who have emailed me about my first posting and providing me with their poersonal experiences with certain dealers. I would like it however if you'd post these publicly so everyone knows.

      Justin,

I will let Darryl comment on the decals of this WSS M35 DD, however both decals have been liberated.

Outing dealers sounds like a good idea at first, but in practical terms it would
be a mess. People would be venting a bad experience with a certain dealer into
"that dealer sells fakes" syndrome. All the truly bad conflicts would rise on these
threads developing into a massive flame war. If you get sold a questionable
item, post it for the members to give opinions. If YOU think it may be no good
send the item back within its return period. If the dealer doesn't honor his return
period, then you can scream murder and we will attack him with pitchforks!
A thing to note, the item that started this conversation (an FJ helmet) was
original! The fakery was turning the helmet into something it wasn't (a better
decaled helmet). An argument can be made that the helmet is 100% original
if the decals are indeed wartime decals...

You can only 'out a dealer' with evidence, as we see here all the time. If you post a helmet ( or any item ) and it turns out to be bad; there is the proof. If somebody tells a story about how dealer x sold his cousins friend a bad lid, well that really doesnt stand up in a field that should be dealing in facts and is not needed IMHO.

Just the facts, and there is no problem.
