My Last German Helmet!

A very good friend mentioned to me that many collectors are asked to show their first German Helmet.

He has asked me to show the "last" German Helmet that was acquired.

It is a M42 Single Decal Luftwaffe in size 60, which is a bit of a difficult configuration to obtain.

I might add that it has a "spliced" liner.

Thank you for asking.

Many times, the Germans "spliced" leather together before cutting the liner pattern.

Most of the time, it was done so well that it is barely noticeable, but on occasion it was note doe so well, and the "splice" was obvious.
