Hey i have a question, i own a m40 stahlhelm marked with NS64 B3, i was wondering if someone could check GHW or anything for that matter to tell me for what the helmet was used. Because it was painted after the war.

They can help us pinpoint the year of manufacture combined with the other components. I'd say B3 is a very early shell.
But NS also used other prefix letters like E and D.
I have an E10 DD Heer with early decals and a 1935 dated liner.
Lotnumber catalogueing is ongoing which will require a lot of data interpretation for years to come.
