    Quist (bigfoot?) decal

Your opinions on this decal gentlemen...

The helmet was found in Dunkirk. Some people are skeptic about the decal because it is of the (how rare?) Quist type. Eagle with a head of narrow design and quite big feet.

There's a lot of pitting to the helmet, so I'm asking, is it uberhaupt possible to create a fake decal of this quality? Seems like a lot of work knowing that I paid barely 80$ for the shell..

    Cheers

No matter what you paid it's a fake one....sorry to say. Q BF helmets aren't terribly rare, maybe lesser seen than some others but not rare.

That really is the first time I hear people being skeptic about a ground dug relic

More opinions? Is there any chance that there's an error in the print or that it's some sort of Q variation?

The shell in any case is original, I really wonder why someone would add a fake decal to a ground dug relic, let alone all the work involved to get it that way?

      Cheers

It won't be the first fake "ground dug" relic from a famous battlefield. No its not a print error, the claws are an easy giveaway.

Why would someone add a fake decal to a ground dug helmet? To make something worth nothing worth $80. Or because they had nothing better to do on a boring Sunday afternoon. Who knows, who cares? It is what it is....sorry.

Sorry, it for sure is a fake, not only the claws, but look at the head too. Someone was bored or is trying to pull a fast one.

Ken sorry did not want to make the helmet shell sound worthless but it's value is nearly negligible, add a cheap fake decal and it's value rises exponentially as does its appeal hence the motivation for a faker to do this.

                Hi Doug,

                No problem
                All is good.

I'll try to find out who the maker is of this type of (fake) decal. Wish me luck..

                Cheers,
                Ken

                  Hi Ken,

I have to agree with the fellows! it is for sure a fake decal! Look at the wings, the head and the feathers. They are way different to an original Bigfoot decal!

Try to conftontate the seller with it and hear what he is going to say about this issue!

                  I wish you luck

                  Cheers

Fortunately I didn't pay too much.

I agree its a bad decal... Far from the first enhanced "ground dug" item.... Its all about upping the profit margin regards, Johnno.
