    Neat picture...

    ...at least for me.

Because of the helmets, I thought I post this wartime picture here.
This is the first time I see so many Sani-helmets together, and as you all know it is though to find even one in a picture.

Many collectors/historici are stating that the wear of red crosses was normally not done, especially on the eastfront, because of becoming an easy target.

Well, I don't know yet were this picture was taken, but they all wearing the ID-vest, armband ( one on each arm !!), painted helmet and a flag ....what do I need more . I don't know what pattern these helmets are. Notice also the different styles of ID-vests used, probably all fieldmade.

These guys were clearly ready for suicide if serving in Russia.

Anyway, I hope you guys like it.
    Cheers

    Neat photo Jan

Take an old pillow case, cut the areas for you arms and head to go through, paint a red cross on it, and you have a vest.

        Great picture!!!
Interesting that the RC insignia is different types - the second from left has thicker but shorter cross on the pillow cover. And the 3rd from left has a different cross on the pot, compared to the others... Just observations

All I can say is only a total prick (read; bolshevik sumanavitch) would
take a shot at these poor unarmed bastards. What a lousy job.
