Because of the helmets, I thought I post this wartime picture here.
This is the first time I see so many Sani-helmets together, and as you all know it is though to find even one in a picture.
Many collectors/historici are stating that the wear of red crosses was normally not done, especially on the eastfront, because of becoming an easy target.
Well, I don't know yet were this picture was taken, but they all wearing the ID-vest, armband ( one on each arm !!), painted helmet and a flag ....what do I need more . I don't know what pattern these helmets are. Notice also the different styles of ID-vests used, probably all fieldmade.
These guys were clearly ready for suicide if serving in Russia.
