That cap has certainly "been there and done that"! I have a GJ cap with a
very similar badge to the one you have there ( the Vienna one ) and I never
knew what it was for. Thanks for the lesson!

Jeff, the insigna is the "Wiener Wappen" (the Vienna coat of arms) ; this Jäger was Austrian, and also obviously proud of his origins.Originally posted by voodoo
