    Wiener Jäger

As promised to # 1, here's some "new stuff" : an untouched (and uncleaned !) Jäger's M43 cap. I still can't believe the former owner let this one go...

Side view : this austrian Jäger personalised his cap with a little edelweiss pin and the arms of the town of Vienna.

          Awesome Chris!

That cap has certainly "been there and done that"! I have a GJ cap with a
very similar badge to the one you have there ( the Vienna one ) and I never
knew what it was for. Thanks for the lesson!

          Did you get laid yet?

            No, not yet...

I'd love to see your cap, Brian : please post some good pics here !
It took me several night-hours to find out what this arms were ; here they are, in their "original" version.

Can you give me some insight on what the insignia on the side signify?

Beautiful cap that would grace any collection.

                Has personality AND salt.

What more could you possibly ask for?

Jeff, the insigna is the "Wiener Wappen" (the Vienna coat of arms) ; this Jäger was Austrian, and also obviously proud of his origins.
Here is a close-up, to compare the insigna with the heraldic shield above.

                          Professional secret...
This one could be a trade for your new WSS named DD M.35 ; then, I will "get laid"...
                          Else, after my death only.
