Well, from here this decal doesn't look good to me ; I admit the flash is a problem on this pic, but I don't like at all the little I see...
Else, it's very hard to explain in a few words, but the very "mate" tone of the camo paint doesn't please me much either. It could be OK I admit, but anyway, it was a red flag for me on the first pics posted here.
I Really did not have a problem with the decal.
My concern was with the camo paint.
You take a $300 SD Luft helmt and apply the camo.
That is always the concern to me.
You start off with an original piece and start the painting....
It sucks
Right. But when you discover this after having bought such a crappy lid, "it sucks" much more !!!
As an end, well... always pay attention to your "go to" man !
The other alarm to me was the asking price: $800 at a major show and on the second day. If real, it would have been snapped up in minutes (probably by Matt!).
Here's the reason I got a "go to" man. He made this one for my reenacting.
This one really scares me. I don't see anything wrong with the decal, but the camo paint just doesn't look right to me. It might be the texture of the paint or its wear, not sure. Just a gut feeling I think.
