      Nick

Just want to point something else out, for what it's worth. If you look at below picture...there seems to be two kinds of paint ( green between linerband and shell and rough grey).

Could this be due to the soiling?

ps : I had also family-members locked up and I live also in a once occupied country...but I don't see the link with the liner though.

      cheers

Ty wasn't calling you stupid, it's just a statement placed at the bottom of all his posts..
        9 fingers is fine...
yes that one I'm most certain is a repaint, the inside dome shot shows a better contrast if your looking for it..

I wasn't calling you stupid. The quote below is on my signiture line. Maybe I better change it, if people are misinterpreting my comments. I just thought that was a funny quote from John Wayne.

Seriouly glasmanden, I was not trying to offend, and certainly wasn't accusing you of not knowing what you are talking about.

          Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I also live in once ocuppied country /occupied by the commies, which is much, much, much, much more bad /,

And I do like that helmet I would love to have it even if it is fake - because /if... if!/ it is fake, then it is one of the best fakes ever made on the 3rd planet I really like this lid...

Also I have a very, very nice original liner for a size 66 helmet. This liner is made in Coburg /sorry, can not see the company name/ in 1938. And has 9 excellent fingers. The 9th is not 1/2 and not 3/4, but rather 9/10. Excellent complete 9th finger, the stitching going through it.

Disclamer: no connection between the mentioned commies and the mentioned liner and the mentioned helmet and the mentioned collector /me/

                        Thanks for the welcome

"Glasmanden" Means "Man made of glass or glassman" something like that.

I will be looking forward to posting some pictures on the forum

                          Nick,

Three reasons I wouldn't buy that helmet.
!. Where it is coming from. 2. It's supposed origin - Estonia. 3. The flat look of the runes. If you feel you can't pass it up get a written guarantee and pay with your credit card. At least it won't be the old - money sent, money spent, and the chase is on. I don't buy any SS anymore unless it is from my neighbor and I can walk right over to his yard and return it. Good luck Nick.
