Dont mix past yugoslav war time serbian chetnicks with 2ww chetnicks who use the old yugoslav royal insignia, becourse they were fighting for the yugoslav king Peter who ascaped to London when the germans ocupaid Yugoslavia and you can also found slovenian chetnicks who fought under comand of general Draža Hihajlovic ageinst the partizans and germans, but that fact was wery weal coverd by comunist spies inside english comand and they change all the info abouth yugoslav chetnicks aciwments towords germans in to partizans battles and even when the russian free Belgrade from germans the first one greathing them were members of Mihailovic chetnicks since they were the true fighters ageinst germans and the truth abouth all that is only comuning to nollege after the colapse of the comunisem in Yugoslavia but back to the two headed eagle, yes it can be a vae suvenir taken by german solder but than agein it can be also a croat ustaša suvenir taken from the dead chetnick, who knows !!!

OK, I didnt known that Cetniks were using the same eagle as the Pre WW2 Yougoslavian eagle.
But this same eagle could also have been used by members of the regular Yougoslavian army in Russia, or am I wrong?

In my collection I have mostly dug american Civil War relics and it is more fun than buying flea market or estate sale stuff. They are the real deal without question. Dug relics tells the story and documenting where they are found along with dog tags and any ID that can be put with the items is a way of keeping history intact and finding locations of family members. Some call it robbing graves. If it is left in the ground it will deteriorate to dirt and there will be nothing. I few years ago I had purchased a few helmets from Stalingrad and the Gothic Line. I am getting a little too old for digging but I hope that it can continue for historical purposes. Nice thread guys, Bill
