          Sometime history tramps and retramps over the same soil. The coin may have nothing to do with the WWII era German occupation. Interesting.

              Hi Luis,

              No I dont have pics of the end result but to give you an idea
              the helmet pictured here had alot of rust attached to it.. so with a small hammer I gently hammered only the rust away and the decal appeared.
              Then I used some oil and cleaned the helmet.. the rust disspeared a bit more..
              then I let it dry and after with the dremel tool again only on the rusty remaining spots since they are they though stains..

              Hope this helps a bit.

                  Honestly I would not touch your helmet but of course that is a personal choice.

                  I see still allot of paint and touching it you might ruin it and also the camo wire should not move so best is to leave this one alone..

                      Yesterday went to dig. I have found staff tag with personal number 1 and the tablet with an emblem 371 Infanterie-Division.
