M42 Helmet - Good?

Thanks Robb & Dave, it's hopefully going to be a fair price so i can live with the bad chinstrap until i find another.
Interesting thought Robb, had been looking at a few other helmets to get a feel for them & you make a good point, others with the same amount of rust on the inside tend to have a pretty eaten away liner.
As i'm a medal/badge collector with a few daggers i would just like to get a decent helmet for a good price rather than shelling out a lot of money on a top example. Will set off the medals nicely in my cabinet.

I see a good Pocher on a Ns shell

OK, that's a first good point.

Well, we're back to where we started, good helmet, good liner, bad chinstrap & string.

The problem is that the good old days are over, and that replacing a repro chinstrap by an original one can today considerably increase the total cost of a common helmet ; if it was a minty DD M.35 for example, things would be quite different of course. An original drawstring won't cost an eye, but being on the hunt for one is quite boring (I'm in this case, so if anybody can help, please ring my bell ! ).

It wasn't my intend at all to rain on the parade, but rather to share my tastes and criterias regarding the choice of passing or, on the contrary, getting an (as untouched as possible) helmet. And highlight the fact that the points above are to be taken into account before pulling the trigger, moreover when the signs showing that a liner is absolutely original to a shell are far to be obvious from the pics provided.

But well, it's maybe just too many years of collecting after all, and the loss of too many illusions that turned me in such a distrustful guy !
