Fake KM decals yes or no

Since everyone is in self denial on the KM thread , I will post them here so as not to spoil the search for the helmets.

I will however state that the supposedly DD KM that was stolen IS IN FACT NOT a KM and DOES NOT have an original WW2 German produced decal.

One helmet is an SE , the other an ET. Both were for sale on dealer sites for around 4000 $.

other one , which was for sale on the Gottlieb site in the beginning of the year for over 4000$. You'll recognise this one.

Both don't have detail from ET original's eagle.

Erlier production eagle as Giorgio's helmet(eagle from Wilhem Abels),an unknow decal for most of collectors.

Or both are fake.

Originaly discussed Frank and my opinion didn't change since , fake decal so far
BTW it seems some of you didn't see my comment regarding this helmet that IMHO looks to come from the SAME family of fakes on it (it's why I asked for a close up ) http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=246153

Fred it's not a W Abels and again IMHO there is no problem with these decals

Like I said previously , I appreciate the willingness of the WAF helmet moderators to pin the thread about the stolen helmets but I feel (I'm not alone in this , just the most vocal) the information of such a thread should be correct.

I have learned a lot thanks to this forum and posting misleading information for other new helmet collectors is dangerous.

How long before we have to post other stolen items that are not original here ? It's a bad precedent which could have been avoided with decent item descriptions.

What's next ?
"Hey my SS has been stolen but please respect not to discuss my fake decal"

Funny that some of the people posting in that thread find it offending to even bring a bad decal to the forefront. (on a helmet forum)

I care a lot about this hobby so I did my duty , people that want more info can pm me.

Came from a big dealer,a respectable collector,a vet who picked up in Hamburg,with or without COA, where else.

This decal is a fake not more.
