Actually looks quite strange to me to see the white underlay under the decal's black border...

Thats not white underlay, but the silver decal-colour sitting on the black border - so its kind of factory missprints.

Of course I meant silver underlay....decal-colour sitting on the black border? I'm still concerned, but as said Im not an expert.

Here´s the best shot I can do at the moment (not much sunlight out): There are for sure 2 decals under the paint, I´ve marked their top borders. As the upper one sits in exaxt distance to the venthole as the runic decal, I vote that that one was / is the swaz - but what is the other - later applied one? Another swaz? I can see red colour on the left side (next to the "eagles wing" yo see) and on other spots shining through the paint, and under the paint I can even make out the white round part with the swaz sitting in it - and when I look long enough I see nude Eva Braun...

So what might be the explanation for the 2 decals? An later applied army decal over a swaz makes no sense IMO.

The markings of the helmet are "ET66" on the side, and "4192" on the rear.

The SS runes looks like a pocher so it was almost surely a reissued....let see what other experts say

My advice ? .....stick with the nude Eva, I have had the hots for her ever since a forum member posted a photo of her underwear a GI brought home !

Nice helmet Pocher decal. and who knows what on other side. Keep it as it is. I would say price range 4800.- to 6000.- $. Personal i wont go higher than 5000.- $ for an ET ss- helmet like this one. Just my opinion sir. Viele Grüsse, norge
