Since helmets with decals were more desirable 30 years ago, did you encounter many reproduction camo helmets at that time?

As I recall, there were reproductions of every style of helmet, but the camos were just as infrequent then as they are now.

However, you encountered more Helmets with fake decals since it was, and is easy to reproduce decals.

In 1967, I bought a Luftwaffe Single Decal helmet at a shop in New York while on business there (paid $25.00 for it).

When I arrived home in Missouri, the decal had fallen off and was along side the helmet in the box.

The helmet was a very nice helmet, and it is now fortunate that the decal did not stick.
