Sort of off the helmet topic but it relates to messing with militaris. I had purchaed a 2 piece medal, EK2 and Winterschlacht Ost medal. A portion of the ribbon on the EK was really wrinkled and I kept pulling and tugging at it and it RIPPED! I don't mess with anything anymore. Leave as is. Nice helm BTW.

has any one any tips abput cleaning or should it be left alone

i love relics i have a few now and will post pics as i am waiting 1 or 2 more to arrive

this snow camo has quite a bit of rust but is still very solid ....................
so all opinions are welcome

shane, just leave it alone. how could you ever improve it? by painting it field green? or better yet, removing the rust to expose the pitting???

have you seen this relic on Ebay (140147761517)? this guy had it up before but was removed for showing the fantastically preserved decal. i think it's amazing that this thing survived all that time in the dirt!
