has any one any tips abput cleaning or should it be left alone

i love relics i have a few now and will post pics as i am waiting 1 or 2 more to arrive

this snow camo has quite a bit of rust but is still very solid ....................
so all opinions are welcome

Nice relic lid. I would leave it as is! It shows that it has not been messed with. It is 100% as found condition. A helmet that has truly been there!

Looks like it may have had a name or unit mark in the rear ,
Any tampering will not improve this helmet, it will detract.

trust me leave it alone i've wrecked 2 helmets i was pissing around with a named liner in a m35 it fell to bit's in my hands..i also got a d/d m35 heer decal about 85% thr tricolour just poking through so one night pissed up i rubbed away the paint and hey presto it had 2 decals but i could'nt belive what i'd done the next day..trust me once you've fu##ed one up you'll hate it and it's not fair on the next buyer ..

i got this of anouther forum member a very trust worthy one as far as i can see it was found on the eastern front i have anouther 1or two on the way
i will post the pic you asked for over the weekeend
