Hallo zbv500, I cannot post pics on this forum, sorry...If any want want to post them for me?
My speciality is all on the NSKK, I find that more interesting than other party organisations or Wehrmacht. I don't know why there is no red colour on your national decal. And why NSKK helmets used Wehrmacht national colour rather than NSDAP national colours like the Waffen-SS? The right name of the NSKK was "NSKK der NSDAP"...
    Cheers

      black and white decal

      [QUOTE=zbv500]Hi,

many thanks for the additional info about the Speer unit.

What do you think is the reason for removing the red part of the decals ??
Why were these Speer guys allowed to change an official emblem ??

Maybe the black and white colors of prussia

        Hi,

i also thought on the colors of Prussia, but how stands that in a connection with the Speer unit ? And if there is any connection this would still be strange since its a damage of a "Wehrmacht Eigentum" or at least a changing of State Insignia.
I cannot realy think into it

Any Speer expert out there ?

        Thanks Jens

I thought NSKK decals were in an orangish color? I'm not implying this is a fake (it certainly is not) but am curious.

And to the final confusion i will post 4 more nice NSKK decals which are owned by the member Guymauve.

You can see also an orange one there. But if you look close to the head area you will also see remains of red color beneth the head were normaly no decal is. This would mean that they painted the decal with some sort of laquer, maybe to protect it ?? Or is it another unit sign, a red NSKK decal.
At least you can see in the pic that the orange decal was common white at some point. (Areas were the orange flaked off).

Never ending story with these NSKK decals...

              Bests Jens

                      My thoughts...

The orange decal is not really "orange"..the color is due to the age toning of the varnish coat -- in the 1940's people also used a type of varnish that was very golden in color and it was used as the tacky stuff to apply silver and gold leaf to doors and signs...so I would bet the gold or orange color is simply a type of lacquer or varnish that has toned to this color.

Also, the helmet with the very large decal looks bad to me...that seems to be a fake in my opinion. - C

It appared original but I never understand the national color with the red missing, and the seller told to me that it was a Speer helmet(>?).

Hi Guys, here is a photo of one taken in the Airborne museum in Oosterbeek (Arnhem) Not the greatest photo I know, but I thought I would add it here.

                          Cheers, Ade.

                                here is mine, M35 DD,
started as a DD LUFT, repainted in green and added 2 new decals
you can see the decals underneath the other ones.

This one comes from Arnhen Holland, where the NSKK people had to fight against the paratroopers which were dropped there during market garden.
