IV group was created on 1942 , based on Armoured cars AB 41 , and sent to Albania, where it surrender after 8 of september 1943 to the Germans.
The latin motto on the badge Nicaea fidelis ( Nizza faithful) is the acient motto of the Cavalry Dragons.

Very nice and uncommon badge !!
this badge is valid both for the III "Gruppo Autoblindato Nizza" (all on armoured cars, two squadrons for a total of 54 (??) AB41 , in Africa from May 1942 to the end, and for the IV "Gruppo Nizza" misto (with 21 armored cars + 15 tank L6/40) always transferred in May 1942 in Albania ...

They used the same badge? Is it correct? Number IV it is referred to the entire "tank Group"?

I had read an old article, on Militaria, the attachment of Diana Armi 15/20 years ago (I try to find it) on this badge of the IV and a contemporary order to Loiroli (? if I remember right) with an analogue for III a little later not delivered (or manufactured) for the war events of the III in Tunisia .... there should be in the article a design or the prototype .... I look for it...
