    M33 Helmet 4 ventilation holes

    Hello to all!
I like to introduce here this helmet due I find curious and interesting for the paint and for the strap. It is a barn find from Northern Italy and has an heavy rough deep green paint something close like a zimmerit or camo paint. Early liner and a real strange web chinstrap, not the usual italian post war but almost never seen.
Anyone could help to recognize this helmet? Could be used by RSI?
    Thanks to all!!!

This type of helmet was issued to second line units and fire-police, PAA, etc.
It is not uncommon to find this type of helmet with a canvas strap.

However, the strap on your helmet is uncommon since it has 2 buckles+the material is different to the ww2 era canvas strap for these non ballistic helmets.

Can't say anything about the paint.
Pictures are not sharp enough and too dark to see the paint structure and color correctly.

I would say it's an "UNPA" helmet.
Unione Nazionale Protezione Antiaerea, the equivalent of the german luftschutz.
The 4th ventilation hole was applied to mark the helmet as non ballistic, unsuited for a first line use.
