            This proves the opposite! Great piece!

            I have a KM reissued example and have seen pics of Heer & SS examples, some with the tan lining and others with the green lining, but they all have a version of a stamp that shows they were property of the Wehrmacht, Kreigsmarine or SS. This helmet has a similar stamp and though it is not the same, it is probably a good period original. Odd that the shields are so rusty, only seen that on relic examples.

                Nice Pith helmet Marvolo..I have a Tropical pith badged to the 12 Bersaglieri attached to Littorio armd div,it has a tan under side!.I have owned it 20+years,it was picked up by a Tobruk veteran!,he passed it on to me.He said even some Britsh troops wore them to ward of the sun!!!.
