hallo to all; I bought recently this Italian tropical pith with some German marking inside and Wehrmacht insigna on the sides.
It was find in England on a flea market !
It is in bad conditions but has still a good patina ; unfortunally chinstrap is missing and inside some co rk is broken!!
There are two stamp inside pith; one is a Waffenamt with date 1942; other is stamp write " Wehrmachttroup.........................Italien; I don't know exately!
It is a small size: "55".
I don't know certainly the use of this pith but I know that at the beginning of Afrika campaign, German troups were supply by Italian tropical pith; but in the 1942 Wehrmacht had own Tropical pith...!!!!
So , it will be fine if you can help me about this pith.
At last, I know that Italian pith had a green colour cloth inside but this one not have....
