      and finally one of the cheapest and poorly finished....

      but it is my favorite because I personally bought its in summer 1981 when I got my tank driving license (up with 3 driving of 5 minutes each!!) on an old M47 in the Military Transport School of Rome.....

        in Rome after the Armistice of 8 September 1943, some regiments, even without orders, resisting the Germans who are occupying the capital .....

        in particular the Lancers of Montebello and the Lancers of Vittorio Emanuele, against the Germans (with their Ansaldo M42 75/18 (and M15 / 42 medium) tanks)......

            and I underline Captain of "Montebello" Romolo Fugazza, Gold Medal for Valuer, who fell in Rome, at Porta San Paolo on his Ansaldo M42, the 10th september 1943....

                and now a lot of postcards of another tank crewman officier, from the tankette CV35, to the Ansaldo M42 (and medium tanks m15), in the twin Regiment of the " Montebello" the (armoured) Regiment Lanceri di Vittorio Emanule

                  prestigious lineage, military son (General Gastone Avogadro of Vigliano, of course decorations and prestigious commands) rider with spurs and oath to the King .....
                  In 1935 Lieutenant in Cavalry, and immediately goes to the "Guide" with our tankette L35 for the project of "mechanization" of the cavalry regiments ....
                  then in the ( 10th) Lancers of Vittorio Emanuele II .......

                  and after the 8 September , Captain Erinno Avogadro di Vigliano, he remains loyal to his king oath, he remains in the North and enters in the Resistence...

                    and also for Lancers of Vittorio Emanuele another tank commander, died the 9 september, 1943 with his Ansaldo 42, near Bracciano (north of Rome): Sergeant Major Udino Bompieri..... his tank

                      Found today this Postacard

                      The sender mailed it from the battlefield in North Africa!
                      The VII Battaglione Carri M13/40 was part of the Ariete Armoured Division and later in the campaign was destroyed in combat.

                          very nice additions Iron! (the stamp removed: "cursed" all the stamp colelctors!!)


                          the special colored stamp of VII (and VIII and IX) Battalion with 13/40 tanks just arrived in Africa ... my two military post of a lieutenant of the same untit in the same period....
