It was only pure propaganda.At the end the Italian were not racists.
When Italy invaded Ethiopia, in 1935, the Italian Soldiers liked very much the Young Black Ethiopian Girls,and in honor of these girls they composed a famous song "FACCETA NERA"...BLACK FACE, that was at the time a great sucess in Italy.

Brits and Americans were much more racists than the Italians...

Hey guys, we're all saying the same thing !

Perhaps some of us Italians thought the first post with the video was just to put us 'in a bad light', accusing italians of racism, anyway right or wrong during a war none of the partecipant (none!) can say "I'm clean !!".

Just to cut the story short, otherwise it is obvious that the whole civilized modern world should thank the United States for what they did 60 years ago (only Bin Laden does not agree, I think)

In my opinion (and this could be another interesting point to debate dispassionately) I think that nowadays a lot of people always consider that, in those years, fascism and nazism were both the same diabolic dictatorship and, on the contrary, this was not.

I think it is propaganda of the time, a part of italian history. This type of propaganda had a definite beginning. It was caused by rapes suffered by the italian population, as explained in posts #6 and #10.

many posters issued during 1944-45 against allies do exist and almost all of them represents black soldiers by obvious racist features.
