TK,correct what you ask. Well,the Debiça, as confirmed on the notable book
'Pensare,Sentire, Volere' has been deployed in my area for anti-partisan purposes on Spring of 1944 and they had three casualties of which we know also the names.Three M.33 helmets with SS runes stencilled on both the sides of these helmets, have been found later in the years '70s in the garret of a former private hospital in my town.Of course the helmet I have bears inside one of the three wounded men later dead names.You can believe that or not, however I reported the true story in an article soon published in the issue of Uniformi & Armi dedicated to the RSI.(I suppose it will be published on the October or November issue.) I want to demonstrate only that the Debiça wore either German ot Italian M.33 helmets together.Not only German helmets..PaoloM

Thanks for your reply, of course I trust your word, I was just trying to point out that at the present day you have no source to prove that Debica wore Italian's 33 helmets at Mariano Comense.
If I recall right, neither the book "Pensare, Sentire, Volere" mention anything about the Debica being at Mariano wearing 33s, am I wrong?

As you probably know the very first published photos of Mariano Comense came from the more complete Pisano's work 'Gli Ultimi in Grigioverde' not from 'pensare, SEntire, Volere'that didn't publish the photos of those units clearly bearing on their M.33s the stencilled runes.And the Debiça was there.However 'Pensare, Volere, Sentire' gave me the imput for a better search, in fact there you find the Debiça was deployed on the mountains of Umbria and Marche for anti-partisans purposes in the just said period and that three of them, wounded (reported also the names)have been recovered in my town Foligno before their death in a private hospital where
later three M.33s with stencilled runes and one (the one I kept) with the reported inside name of one of the former owners KIA have been found in the garbage.This for me is more than sufficient to complete this sort of puzzle.PaoloM

What has to do Foligno or Marche with Mariano Comense?
And, by the way, since I don't have Pisano's, is he saying that Debica was at Mariano Comense wearing stenciled runes 33 helmets?

As far as I remember, pictures of men wearing stenciled helmets are present on the book "P.S.V.", in relation to Mariano Comense ceremony, but there's no evidence that the pictured men are from Debica.

Debica was of course at the ceremony, but, so far, I found no evidence they wore 33 helmets with stenciled runes.

Just my 2 cents.

Agreed! Not really RSI troops... Prisoners (post armistice) who probably joined the OT (freely or forcefully)
and kept wearing their Italian tunics, some with civilian caps).
Nice image though. It clearly shows the rear skirt "hunter pocket" slits!

Great picture. The two points of interest for me is the blanket (clearly showing the stripe pattern) and the M41 paracadutisti pantaloni worn by several of the men.
