                Mind checking this helmet out? It happens to be mine. I am sure it is a WWII manufacture but what gets me is the paint...

                  Early m33 sold , given or left by Italians during the Spanish Civil war. Then repainted by Francoist government post Spanish civil war. Later imported in large quantities to the USA as surplus goods.

                    So an olive green coat indicates Francoist usage? BTW from these photos, I noticed there to be a greyish paint underneath this coat. Could that be the original Italian paint, or no?

                        Italy gave/left a good amount of Adrian and M33 helmets to/in Spain after the Civil War. Franco's forces repainted them (I didn't know what color until now) for their own armed forces, so it is to my knowledge that sometimes you may find Original Italian Insignia or paint underneath.

                                Looks like the same type of stencil I really do not know the difference. Any references sugested?
