    Post those Italian M-33s

I also collect Italian and Japanese Axis material, mostly small arms and Infantry related items. I am considering adding my first Italian helmet to my collection, and would love to see some good photos of wartime helmets. The Italian helmets were continued in production after the war with changes from the wartime issue, which a new collector can get confused about legitimate wartime helms.
In addition, there were a great variety of stencils used,
So, post those original wartime helms guys and use your collection to educate us on the wartime Italian M-33!

    Cheers,
    Johnnie

Nice helmet Rob! And in the condition I will be looking for when I get my first. I understand that this model of cover is fairly rare.
              Thanks for posting!

                Hello Rob,

                superb headgear.

I wonder who "inspired" who regarding this cover design...was there an introduction date for these covers?

Multi-panel, foliage loops, there is a theme running here

                Patrick.

                  Hi Robb,
Seems to be a rare bird. Any info on this type of cover ?
                  Field made, standard pattern ...?
                  Cheers

It is nice that they opened this Italian forum as before Italian stuff never seemed to be appreciated by anybody in the other parts of the forum.

Perhaps it was clipped by a truck JL there doesnt appear to be an impact mark . Phil it has markings inside which I will post later . I feel the Italian helmet and all its different liners chinstraps ,covers paintjobs etc hasnt really been explored ,hopefully if members post their M33's we can see whats out there and perhaps another will turn up .Rob

                        Hi Robb,
We will wait the pics. I oo have a cloth cover for the M33. It is made of tan italian cloth material with some markings inside. We usualy find these in small size. I think they were a bit controversial when they surfaced few years ago.
                        Will post pics soon.

This is the correct italian cloth material. The size and rectangular stamp seem OK, but the red stamp seem odd.
