Cossack Insignia cut off

I bought this cut off to a WAF member fews days ago.

Looks nice.. how does the nap show underneath the tab as far as you can see?..There should be a difference on such a worn collar...

Tony is spot on. The original cossack officer tab was made in Bevo. In my opinion this is a reproduction made to look like the bevo tab. Recently there has been a number of these fake cossack tabs sold as cut away collars.

I believe your correct. I just checked the one I own and it is different. Sure looks good at first glance though. I haven't seen any collar tabs in a long time. My excitement got the better of me. I'll certainly be cautious if I see any tabs for sale. Jim

Hi oli I contacted the eBay seller (Helen) all the cutoffs supposedly came from one house that was being renovated. I was watching one cut-off that sold so I asked if they had anymore cossack insignia. I was told they would look next time they were at the house.
Then as I suspected another cut-off appears one week later in very similar condition and wear as yours. Now it's confirmed the tab isn't official bevo I would go for a refund.

I agree this looks like a repro artificially aged there was a cut-off pair that I saw a while back here in E-Stand for sale suspect comes from the same person.
